Succession – High-profile corporate changes are in the air when chairman Don Geiss (Rip Torn) reveals that Jack will be his successor instead of Jack’s nemesis, Devin Banks (Will Arnett). Night Out – Michael and Dwight decide a trip to the Big Apple is in order. There, they hope to mingle with bigwig Ryan and his colleagues at the nightclubs. Back in Scranton, the staffers must work on Ryan’s pet Web-site project—on a Saturday no less.
Killerball – Randy cares for the comatose Earl himself, much to Joy and Darnell’s chagrin. Randy also takes on an item on Earl’s karmic to-do list.
Burn Card – Det. Green becomes the subject of an internal investigation, led by Det. Kevin Bernard (new series regular Anthony Anderson), after he is implicated in the shooting of a well-known hustler.
Closet – An investment banker’s murder reveals his secret affair with a pro quarterback, who has an agent willing to do anything to protect his client. Elsewhere, Benson starts dating a newspaper editor (Bill Pullman), but his work conflicts with her position at the department.
Partners in Crime – Kelly Preston guest stars as venture capitalist Meghan Doyle, who strikes up a professional and personal connection with Joe, testing the DuBois marriage in the process. Meanwhile, an FBI profiler (Kurtwood Smith) arrives in town to catch a serial killer, but Allison’s visions reveal his plans may be much more sinister.
